What is Benazir Hunarmand Program and Why It Was Launched?

Benazir Hunarmand Program was launched under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). It is a government-based program. Its aim is to empower the low-income families. This program is specially for BISP-registered women and youth to make them financially independent by providing them free technical skills and digital training.

This program was officially launched on 21 June 2025, on the birth anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. The aim of this program is to enable people to start their business and freelancing according to their skills. The goal of this program is not to provide temporary financial aid but to make people independent and skillful. The government wants to reduce poverty and increase employment.

Who Is Eligible for Hunarmand Program?

BISP Hunarmand Program is specially designed for low-income families. This program is for those individuals who can’t afford the expenses of higher education. Now they can get skills and digital training to start their work. The program clearly defines the eligibility criteria to ensure that only the most deserving individuals benefit from free training.

Eligibility Criteria:

• BISP Registered

• Individuals who are registered in the Benazir Income Support Program can benefit from this program.

• Low Poverty Score

• Those who have a low PTM/Poverty Score are eligible to apply.

Note: Check your poverty score from home for free.

Age Limit

They require only young candidates. Different age limits are required according to different courses. The average age limit required is from 18 to 40.

Gender Inclusion

There are 50% seats reserved for women to encourage gender equality.

Education Requirements

Most courses require formal education, but in some courses especially in IT courses they require minimum education of matric.

Valid CNIC

A valid CNIC of the individual is required for registration.

Not for Government Employees:

Government employees and candidates who are already receiving skills training cannot apply.

Registration for BISP Hunarmand Program Courses

For the registration of BISP Hunarmand Program courses, there are two ways to apply.

You can apply online and offline.

Apply Online

• Visit the official web portal BISP 8171

• Visit the official website of BISP and go to the Hunarmand Program courses.

• Enter CNIC details.

• Enter your valid CNIC number in the given space.

• Select your course.

• Choice the course you want to join from the given list.

• Select your nearest training center.

After filling the form, click on Submit. Your application will be submitted. After submitting, copy your application number and track your application to check your application status.

Apply Offline

Visit your nearest BISP office to apply offline with the required documents:

• CNIC.

• Proof of BISP registration.

Fill your application form and submit it. You will be notified on your given number by SMS
